Mt. Tsurumi has an altitude of 1,375 meters. A mere 10 minutes ride on the ropeway from the foot of the mountain takes you all the way to its top! From there we can enjoy the panoramic view of Beppu city, Kujyu mountain range, Mt. Yufu and even Shikoku Island! Seasonal beauty of the mountain is also to be cherished; cherry blossoms and Miyama Kirishima in spring, mountain retret to cool off in summer, autumn foliage, and hoafrost in winter. "Kyushu Shochukan" at the lower ropeway station has more than 500 Schochu gathered from all over Kyushu!
